GMIS Connect Roadshow – Vienna
VIENNA, 29 September – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) and the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates (UAE invited media representatives to attend „The future of Global Manufacturing“ event on Monday, 9 October 2017, at the Factory of the Future, Seestadt. The event was organized within the framework of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS).
The following topics had been discussed:
1. What is the impact of Industry 4.0 on small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) and how can they take advantage of new technology?
2. What financial and non-financial implications does this technological revolution have?
3. Which skills will companies need to stay connected with future technological trends?
The Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit was established in 2015 to build bridges between manufacturers, governments, non-governmental organizations, technology experts and investors to participate in the fourth industrial revolution. GMIS is a joint initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economic Affairs and UNIDO; it is a platform to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
